Firsts

A career of making impact.

VM has used technology in clever ways to create new processes and experiences. Whether it’s producing some of the first 3D animation for television or using Filemaker to manage and streamline the video editing process for the ABC Network animated graphics for Harry Marks, interrupting the status quo by creating a desktop video system using After Effects, a Mac IIci and the Abekas A62 to get digital video to broadcast at Pinnacle Post in 1992, or creating the production process integral to the production of an interactive TV show on CDROM at Splash Studios, he’s blazed ahead. He created the interface for an interactive newscast for Sony, and the first major retail demo for Microsoft, as well as the metrics engine that allowed tracking all user interaction with demos all over the world. He repurposed Disney’s Mickey Mouse Clubhouse TV show to create an interactive learning experience that became the number one app in the world and the 4th highest grossing app in the Appstore. Lately, he led a team to develop an appisode from scratch that teaches kids how Hawaiians made canoes from things in the forest and sailed them across biggest oceans in the world, and most importantly - how we should all take care of this planet.
